Facing the Dentelles de Montmirail, hanging from a rocky outcrop, such is the description of the village of Roque Alric.
The small village is cited as a parish and a seigneury of the 11th century, era from which several monuments date.
With its 54 habitants, one is not surprised by the quiet atmosphere reigning in the village. Events, shops and activities are rare….and it is exactly that which gives the village its charm!
Entering the village on its paved roads, you will feel like you’re going to someone’s house. Going through the village on its steep alleyways, by-passing ochre coloured houses, you will arrive at the recently restored church, the high point of the village where you will enjoy a fabulous panoramic view of the Dentelles de Montmirail and the entire valley.
The village is a crossing point of many hikes, surrounded by vines and many woods.
Roque Alric is therefore, a bright and clean, quiet, picturesque little village…, an ideal place to relax in the midst of superb scenery, far from the urban hustle.
