Environmental friendly farming
In pure tradition, today’s farmers are conscious of the role they play in the balance and the respect of Nature. The wine producers of Beaumes de Venise use healthy and ecological farming practices. Lovers of their vineyards, they perpetrate the tradition of manual picking, undertake special sorting of each bunch of grapes in order to appreciate their maturity and quality, making the most of the land’s quintessential qualities. Conscious of the importance of the role that water plays for fauna, flora, and humanity, the wine producers impose upon themselves strict rules to preserve this jewel of pure limpidity. Two springs located near the production area are tapped in order to supply water to the different villages, thereby proving that it is possible to combine production, environment and water reserves.
In addition to the quality of wines that enabled Beaumes de Venise to attain the highest tribute of the Appellation, other distinct criteria also contribute, such as, the mandatory use of environment friendly farming methods in the vineyards, estate bottling of the wines, a nearly total claim to the Appellation, ...
Respect of the environment and the quality of their wines is at the heart of the 100 wine producers’ preoccupations; they, who contribute to the making of this new Appellation.
With simple, rigorous measures, they take their destiny into their own hands, leaving judgement of their work to the client/ consumer.
These intangible rules are the base of this terroir, orientating reflections and actions of today’s wine producers and guiding those of tomorrow.
